Description
Hey teachers,
A common trend in my students’ scores over the past 8 years seemed to be underperforming in the vocabulary sections of their assessments. During read alouds and independent reading, I noticed students asking what almost every word meant; even words they should probably know. Vocabulary is SO important for beginning readers. It helps them make sense of the words they are reading or hearing. If a reader does not know what most of the words in a book or text mean, the reader will have problems with comprehension. I created this resource to introduce vocabulary words to my students. Four words each week for the entire school year. I truly hope you and your students enjoy this resource and learn so much!

I included a PDF and PNGs to be inserted into whatever program you might use.
Have fun learning!
