Description
This cute recipe book is a fun way to give your students practice with sequence of events.
Download includes:
-10 fun recipe cards
-multiple choice worksheets for each recipe (10)
-free response worksheets for each recipe (10)
DO NOT try to follow any of these recipes! I am by no means a cook, a baker, or a sushi maker, and just completely MADE UP each recipe.
I also reminded my students of this, for when they took the papers home to their parents. 🙂
Some of the recipes are straight forward; first, then, next, last. Other are a bit trickier, and are intended to make the students stop and think about the sequence closely and really focus on the transition words.
When working on these with your class, remind them to circle the transition words before reading to make sure they pay close attention to those helpful words.
For a more engaging center, print these cards in color, cut them, laminate them and place them in a box labeled: Recipe Box. Students can still circle the transition words, but with a dry erase marker.
I truly hope you and your students enjoy this fun product and learn a lot about the sequence of events!
Have fun learning!– Naomi
