Description
This is a fun, creative, and engaging game to test your students’ knowledge of identifying the author’s purpose. The game is broken up into two different versions. Students will have fun examining each new fun and engaging slide while they determine if the author’s purpose was to describe, entertain, persuade, or explain/inform.
***Make sure you have Microsoft PowerPoint before purchasing this file! Enter Presentation mode from the first slide and follow the directions in the game!***
My 2nd grade class loved the slides, animations, and keeping track of the points they earned.
Play in small groups or whole group! Great for literacy centers!
Different formats include recipes, newspaper articles, poems, posters, billboards, and invitations. This game will have your class thinking about author’s purpose wherever they go!
Have fun learning!-Naomi
