Description
Use the frames provided to help your students write detailed sentences and teach them about adjectives, nouns, and verbs at the same time!
Using a snake, cow, and pig I have provided 3 filled in sheets to help students get started and see how to brainstorm ideas. The rest of the sheets are blank for students to fill in their own thoughts to choose from. This is a part of the planning process of writing. The point is for them to brainstorm and choose from their own ideas!
For whole group time, use a blank frame and encourage your students to come up with the who, what, where, when or why on their own. Model filling in each box with their suggestions. Pick your favorite details and use the next set of frames to begin to construct a sentence.
Finally, in the space provided, being sure to start with a capital letter and end with the right punctuation, write your super sentence down. A blank page is available to illustrate a picture of the “who or what” you choose to write about!
Have fun writing! – Naomi
