Description
The first week of school is always an exciting time! I love to debrief at the end of the first day and give my students a chance to answer some questions about how our first day went!
***You must have Microsoft PowerPoint to use this game as it was intended! Enter Presentation Mode from the second slide and click the buttons as directed***
We sit at the carpet and I ask the class some questions. For some questions I have them call out their answers, and for other questions I have them turn to a friend or two and have a discussion.
It’s a great way to get to know everyone a little better, and for some new friendships to be made!
In this download I also included a PowerPoint to be used at the end of the first week, for teachers that run out of time on the first day.
Questions Included:
What is a class rule you learned today?
What is your teacher’s name?
What is the classroom procedure for lining up?
What is the procedure for going to the bathroom?
What is the principal’s name?
Where and when do we eat lunch?
Why is it important to follow the rules?
What time does school start?
What time does school end?
What is your favorite thing about school?
What is your least favorite thing about school?
What is something that worries you about school?
What is something that excites you about school?
How were you feeling this morning and how are you feeling now?
What were three things you had fun doing today?
What new friends did you make today?
What do you want to do a better job at tomorrow?
*The questions are the same for the first day and first week slideshows*
I really hope you and your students have a great first day back at school!
