Teaching Common Core Standards? This game makes it easy for you, and fun for them!

Covers RL.1.1, RL.1.2, RL.1.3, and RL.1.4

This game is set up Jeopardy style through the use of Microsoft PowerPoint. Just enter the presentation mode from the first slide!

***Please note that if you do not have POWERPOINT you CAN NOT use the file the way it was intended to be used.***

This game should be done whole group! It would be a great way to introduce or review these skills!

For the RL.1.2 (story retell) questions, the teacher will need to determine the amount the student will receive based on the rubric provided.

Once a question has been selected, it will fade away from the game board, even if the student has selected the wrong answer. Starting the game over will bring all of the selections back. 🙂

Students will have fun reading these stories, and pressing the Take a Closer Look button to reveal highlighted clues!

*A great way to use this whole group is to give each student their own dry erase marker and board. Have them hold up their answers. Students that get the answer right can add the points to their score.

All questions are multiple choice. (Except for the RL.1.2 questions)
